Brand
Born in Ghana and raised in Amsterdam, Jerry Gyasi’s journey into fashion was anything but planned. Surrounded by skilled tailors in his family, he grew up with the hum of sewing machines and the quiet patience of threading needles for his grandmother. At the time, it felt like nothing more than a family chore — yet it was the earliest stitch in a much larger story.
Years later, fashion found him again. Through social media, Jerry began curating and dissecting the style of celebrities, running multiple pages dedicated to breaking down outfits brand by brand. Hours were spent chasing the smallest details, often without any financial incentive. Along the way, he became deeply familiar with a wide range of labels and design philosophies — a path that eventually led him to discover the work of Virgil Abloh. Seeing the rise of a fellow Ghanaian who reshaped the global fashion landscape became both a source of pride and a lasting inspiration.
The idea for his own label came from two places. First, years of running these pages revealed a recurring question from followers: Do you have a cheaper alternative? That gap — the lack of accessible options in street luxury — became his mission. Second, on a personal level, Jerry had both the knowledge and the drive to create something of his own, fueled by a hunger for more — more from the clothing industry, and more from life itself.
This ambition is woven into the brand’s name, Futuresake — a phrase that also echoes the words his grandmother often repeated. It represents the pursuit of something greater, the merging of ambition and craft, and the belief that what we create today is for the sake of the future.
